What 3 bucks will get ya

My favorite shop is called Family Thrift. It's a megastore, like Costco's of resale. The pricing is super random, I am pretty sure whoever's pricing is not familiar with American standard prices and values.  I went in the back to use the "Not for public use" bathroom a couple of times and it's literally a warehouse run by petite Asian women. Seriously, I saw two balers, chains hanging from the ceiling, a conveyor belt....I was scared.... but my 4 year old will not hesitate to pee the floor so we just pressed on...... Here's one of those dreaded "grab bags" I told you about. I spotted a mushroom lookin thing in one and snatched it up.

Yes. I did have to purchase the sample pack of Kotex pads, as well. I assume that is why the price of this grab bag was $2.92. The mushroom thing (which turned out to be a classy 1993 wall hanging) was originally marked 99 cents. The 3 pack sample maxipads are obviously worth $2 alone, right?
Fooled once again by that accursed plastic sack combo pack!

  1. hahaha oh man, what a bummer. i HATE the grab bag thing. HATE IT. even if you end up getting a deal, you have to waste your time throwing away 5 things, for the one cool thing in the bag.

  2. Yeah. Grab bags have never been a friend of mine. That reminds me- one day I was at Goodwill and a small child was taking items out of free bin and sticking them in his mouth.
