Holiday Schmolidays?! No.

It has recently come to my attention that there are many of you who are
not feelin all jolly and festive as you rightfully should during this
AMAZING and MOST JOYOUS Christmas Season. And that just won't do!
You guys are the most playful bunch of adults I know and  what sets you apart from the norm is the fact that you have chosen to keep childhood wonderment and curiosity aglow. Your playful spirit is what I love
so much in each of you. :)
So now I'm gonna throw some holiday cheer from my home in your face to
make this right.
Let's go!
Come on, this has to make you smile......
Look at his ol' hillbilly belly! Right?

Tiny retro Christmas kicks, it's enough right?
 Gettin warmer?

Okay, if this little scene doesn't do it for you then I don't know......
Unicorn on the tree!! Smile about it!
Or just look like this guy.
Either way, you know this helped a little ;)
And I leave you with yet another bizarre and unflattering photo of me and an inanimate object.
I have an Iphone, people. Maybe not so much a big deal to you guys but a HUGE step for me.
My buddy and sis actually got it and my buddy reasoned,
"You deserve to be in technology, Laura. We're no better than you."
What a sweetheart ;)

  1. I love it! I'm feeling the retro-Christmas glow! Your tree is amazing, honestly. I remember having a ton of those exact kinds of ornaments when I was little, and man, looking at this tree makes me feel about 5 years old again. That is definitely a good ol' kick right in the mistletoe. It helped. The white tree really showcases those ornaments too. "Makes 'em pop!"

I can see now why the built-ins were cleared off too! What's really SPOOKY (as all things to do with our two households) is that when we cleared off the Halloween decorations early November, we left OUR built-ins empty, and had a couple of guest nervously ask us if we were moving out. ALSO because we were just leaving them open for Christmas decorations. I didn't think of that until RIGHT NOW.

And congrats on the phone! I may join your ranks someday as an iPhone owner/user... but for now I will just get by with my iPod and its wifi capabilities.

    1. YAY! Glad I connected squarely with the mistletoe! And thanks for the compliments, I really enjoy this time of year. And the built-in business?? ha ha! When Jerome came home from work he was so happy that I had cleaned them off. He went on for a little bit about how much better the house looked without "all that clutter" and "don't you feel so much better without all that visual mess?".... I really couldn't break it to him that it was just in transition. And now I'm self conscious about puttin it all back up after Christmas ;) Maybe I'll have some New Year's resolutions that include minimizing the ol' kitsch collection.....
The I-phone has given me two things I didn't know I needed. The ability to take/upload videos (which explains my weekend of heavy movie sharing) and the ability to snap photos in the resale shop and out and about for the blog. A lot of blog worthy things get unsaid because I just don't feel like bein that weirdo with the camera who everyone thinks is taking lawsuit photos.....

    2. I used to LOVE taking pictures of stuff at Goodwill with my iPod... but that's the one that got soaked in a bucket of bleach overnight, so I'm back to no picture taking capabilities. :(

And personally, I enjoy your visual mess... but from time to time I do like to step back, look at my collection from time to time... and reduce the clutter. It makes me appreciate what makes the cut afterward that much more.

    1. I already replied to this from my Iphone.... it didn't stick!
What I said was that I went to sign up for Instagram but got mentally stuck when I had to create a login.
I always take a few days to commit to a new membership for anything. It's just a thing.
