Roller hounds!

So this really happened and I need to talk about it......

I have been wanting this to happen forever. And others may have had to get their sea legs.....
or their modern day wuss-walkers (we never had these as kids!)
 but it finally happened!
And we milked it for all the ridiculous laughs we could........

It was so amazing..... I did not stop smiling one time! I would be rollin around the rink alone at times and realize that I was grinning ear to ear. I can't recommend anything more if you've found yourself in a pickle jar, lately. Just find one and do it!
It's a real bonding experience. Especially when you have to hang onto someone
lest you fall ;)
And you can pretend you're in Blades of Glory!

And you can laugh at your children when they fall.
After you make sure they aren't hurt, of course.
And you can be a real coach and pull that wuss off the wall......
And then you can be a real hero when you help that wuss off the ground.....
Lovin me some sea legs, Coley ;)
Buddy forever!
My birthday's around the corner and this is where I wanna be :)

Bringin back Care Bears, Dioramas, AND Show and Tell all in a day...........

Sarah really is a girl after my own heart. Yesterday she said let's make this box like Care Bear land, mom!
And I was like, daddy's not home tonight so let's do!
It really was a slap job, I had to keep myself from trying to "perfect" it. A few times I had to reprimand myself for not sharing the scissors and glue.... how's little bird gonna fly like mom one day if I don't let her practice? I can't have all the fun! ;)

Sarah even took this to school today :)
I don't think school's do show and tell anymore, but by gosh, we're bringin it back!
And I leave you with these absolute truths/Care Bear lyrics.......

"Care-a-lot is a place we all can go,
whenever we choose it.
Care-a-lot is a feeling we all know,
we never do lose it."
Amen.

Granny Panny and Napolean

Granny came for a quick visit!
And so did my main man, Erik. If you've been around you may remember this stud muffin from a riveting expose I did on him last year..... check it out if you haven't!
You'll fall in love with this kid.
He went to Round Top Flea Market with granny a few weeks ago and was so sweet to think of me. He got me an old Dumbo monopoly piece because he knows I appreciate "small old stuff". It's good to be thought of! And he also was very excited about somethin else he bought. He said "Nana (yes, me) I actually purchased a piece of history for just $10!" And I was all excited and like "What?! What?!"
And he said "An old metal sign that says Whites Only"............
"Well, you're the only one in this bunch who could get away with that" I said back.....
and then mentioned that it would have been a good sign for our dinner seating arrangement.  ;)
It just ended up like that cuz we ran out of space, I swear!
Later I noticed how dashing he looked through my hotdog mirror......
 and he noticed, as well.

The latest.....

Sent  somethin to an address that I've memorized for 13 years
but never could find what it took
 to just lick and stamp.
Nursed a sick baby for a week......
Scared the caboodles out of my best friend with a wind-up mouse I bought for the Geek.....
Been hangin out with these dweebs.....
Found some early Christmas presents for one of the dweebs.....
and a lil somethin for me......
 Sold my first banner....
 Sold a set of these.
And realized what a dummy I was for charging so little for so much work.....
And had a moment where I just felt happy about my life when I went to clean some gum off my shoe.
When I saw what the true culprit was it just hit me.
I was glad that I lead the kind of life where a throwback Weeple would be stuck to the bottom of my shoe.
And I'm glad there are others out there...... ;)

A little more Kewpie, a little more mouse ........

Today was half off at that estate sale.
You can probably deduce that I dreamed about Kewpie's all night long.......
 And sometimes dreams come true.
And the lady was impressed with how quick I bee-lined right to what I wanted.
I had already sorted it all out, done the math and knew right where "my" stuff was the day before.
And if it's gone by the half-off day, then it wasn't mine anyhow....
In case you can't tell, that is indeed an embroidered sunset.
Can honestly say that I have never seen one yet. This piece amazes me!
And they're both perfect as I am currently getting rid of a lot of my darker stuff.
This house needs a new light......
Got 4 of these vintage fold up chairs for ten bucks! This photo does not do them justice, believe me.
The legs fold in and the seat pops up. It's quite a unique "folding chair". Super elegant!
And really, hold your breath because something beyond (insert word that magnifies awesome 100 times)
is coming up. A little thing that was made for me before the world ever knew I was comin.....

 THIS!!!

What do you think about this?!!!
Right?!
She's a little pin cushion mouse and apparently she's really someone important.
Check out those diamonds on her tail. So confident!
Wish I could pull off somethin like that.
And what's a post without a little tenderness between me and my friends......
Gosh, I'm tired this week. Just can't find my pace for some reason.
I'm thinkin it's because last weekend was a peak. And it's not like we can stay in that atmosphere forever. As beautiful as it is from that vantage point, the air isn't suited specifically for us.
We are gifted those mountain moments here and there but it's impossible for us to stay too long, I suppose. Even if all we wanna do is stake ground and build a little cabin up there to see out our days.....
Well, I'll just cozy up to Mrs. Briggs (yeah I named her)
and be content with the gifts I have already unwrapped because in truth, I have been given everything!
Hope you're all feelin loved by somebody today.
That's important. :)
