I know.
But in real life I am known for my season's of reclusiveness and lapses into introvercy. It's something I would change about myself, for sure....... And I'm gettin better at it as my youth stretches thin. By the time I'm a grandma, I'll be as consistent as Texas humidity, perhaps....
So, here's a little "Lately" over in the new house. It's been some good "lately", that's for sure :)
Strong families are built on tickle torture. It just makes good glue.
We're neighborhood people now and just love havin our own space.
My kids often have pants on their head and it's somethin I should be embarrassed about. But I'm not. And they're the only littles on the block so they're very much loved and appreciated :)
Got to spend a lil time at Sarah's school.
Couldn't help but notice that my baby's desk is far removed from the rest of the class. It was really disheartening and daddy did talk to teacher to see what's up. Seems Sarah's much like her momma in more than just looks..... I love that little girl and fiercely I will commit to instilling every good thing I can in her. With her daddy and I's love for her, the odds are in her favor. <3
Of course, Delena's been a constant fixture. We need someone to teach these girl's eyebrow groomin, Lord knows I am found inadequate in that area. Especially after my long social sabbatical! I could do a whole post on these caterpillars.....
Reverted back to a King size bed. That Queen wasn't pullin it's weight with all the traffic we have in our bed. When you come to Jerome and Laura's, everybody's welcome to hop in and have a slice of pizza with our movie :)
It's becoming obvious that Sarah's a future cosplay friend.....
Feels right bein back :)
Lator Gator...........
It's good to see you and the family around! So with little Sarah, does she want to be separated from the others like that or does the teacher just do it for her own reasons?
ReplyDeleteOh, Eartha! Hello! You embraced me right back, you truly are a peach ;).... My Sarah bear's got some classroom behavioral issues goin on, specifically she believes that people are always bothering her, staring at her, mocking her, etc. when in fact they aren't. She perceives a lot of things the wrong way and it is disturbing to other little kids who don't even understand why she is upset.... I know my baby, and I know she does do this so I just have to retract momma bear claws and trust the seating arrangement. I myself, had a separate desk for much of early schooling... Good news, she is becoming more grounded lately in "reality" and is bringin home some great conduct reports! Thanks for carin about that, Eartha :) and believe me, we'd be all over that if it was inappropriate and malicious towards our young girl.
DeleteI know that you would for sure. Since I don't have any kids and have always been a bit of a person who does better outside of groups, I just wondered what the reasoning was by the teacher. I'm glad that she's doing well with the new arrangement! - and that the teacher understands that not all kids are the same.
DeleteAnd I forgot to shriek "Bee Galoshes!" Y'all have a good weekend.
YAY! Welcome back! Sweet Sarah- she will find her place in the pack eventually. Sometimes it takes some time. Also, I love that your bed has a revolving open door policy! That is awesome. Please don't be a stranger!
ReplyDeleteMy little sister was in our bed last night, but Doritos and internet were happenin in lieu of pizza and a movie :) Thanks for bein Team Sarah. You would like her in real life even without all the shiny, biased blogular facade, she really is just how I showcase. Even better!.... I won't be a stranger ;)
Deleteoh what a good post. you can see what a good life you have, and those precious kiddos! and sarah really is the spitting image of you!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Rae :) Sometimes, life is yucky for us, too. Just "lately" has been a good season. Gonna enjoy it!
DeleteI love ya Sis... At 1st I was like when was I laying next to Jerome because I wouldn't and realized it was Michelle, we really must be family. I love your new home and thank you for allowing me to be a part of your family. Thank you even more for allowing Christ to remain the cornerstone. All paves out eventually!
ReplyDeleteYou are more a part of home than all the trinkets on the wall, my bestest most precious and valued friend of my whole lifetime. This is your home, too. Anytime, any reason.
