Playin catchup with some pretty spectacular moments here....
First up, the little drama bee's 7th birthday.
God, I love this girl!
A little "behind the scenes" for ya: there was actually no cake under these candles. Just my hands suffering melting wax... that's real love ;)
She wished for Care Bears and a cloud car.... Yes, I have been plantin seeds ;)
Lunch date!
Granny sent an over the top bouquet.....
Had a small little celebration that night, not really plannin on a big shebang.......
but daddy got a wild hair and turned on some tunes.....
And it turned into quite the little party!
Then it somehow turned into a pillow fight......
But then daddy took off his shirt and things started to get a lil crazy ;)
"EWWW Daddy!!!"
And then Gabe was tryin to top Jerome.....and he ran out laughin!!! It was too much!
If I never laugh again in my life, I think I would be okay ;)
I am so blessed to have a father for the kid's who interacts to the point of ridiculous embarrassment on my end. Embarrassing your children is so much better than ignoring them.
To be a parent is remembering how to be a kid :)
Ha! What a great party and a dad those kids and yourself are pretty lucky. : )
ReplyDeleteThanks for sayin that about my guy, John! He's quite a catch, I am grateful for him every day. Hope you have an awesome week, John. Your E.T. post is still makin me smile.....
Deletewhat a great birthday she must have had! i love her face with the flowers. my dad used to get me a little bouquet, one rose for every year. i LOVED it when i was a kid!
ReplyDeleteRae, that is freakin sweet of your dad! Jerome is an intentional dad like that and it blesses me so much that my girls have a daddy like him.
DeleteWe are giving them all that beautiful, intentional love like your dad did for you.
Your comment made me happy :)
Dad of the year. That is a beautiful thing. I am glad that years later she will look back and this will be there for her to remember.
ReplyDeleteSuper kind words, Cal :) I am greatly motivated to blog for that very reason. I hope that we will retain all of our "work" and robots will not rise up against us and take away our internet.... scrapbooking is so tedious and costly. ;)
DeleteThis is a fantastic post!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Dex. It runs pretty hot or cold over..... ;)
DeleteThat seems like an amazing day! Everyone should be so lucky to have a pillow fight/dance party for their birthday
ReplyDeleteIt was amazing.... just what we needed around here :)
DeleteI love looking at photos of your family's shenanigans! Puts a smile on my face! :)
ReplyDeleteGood!! I like to hear that it induces a smile :) That is a gift, thank you.
DeleteYou guys sure know how to throw a mean Birthday Party! And your son, mooning everyone, lol, what a stinker! :D
ReplyDeleteIf you'd been around the ol' blog for awhile you would have known Gabe's butt is a running theme ;) I got you somethin today, Mason. It's real small and almost weightless so chances of being able to actually send it are favorable, ha ha! I have a stockpile of stuff for a few of my favorite bloggers, but the postage cost is keeping me from makin good! Send me your address is your cool with it, if not so completely understand.
DeleteOh boy, I'm way cool with it! Now I'm curious what you got me. Funny thing is I have a little something for you! If you don't like spoilers, I won't say what it is, but if the suspense is killing you I'll tell ya. I'll email you my address.
DeleteThanks for thinking of me! God bless you and your sweet family!
Send me your mailing address @ mason.john.allen@gmail.com
