The bedroom revealed (as if I was hidin it?)

We been in our home now for over 6 months and I've only managed to hit up one area of it. And that was just the built-in shelf! Kinda lame, this procrastination issue I have....
I still feel a big WHUMP! of gratitude sometimes as I walk around here. It's definitely subsided from the giddy, out of body, just won the lottery feelin I used to have. But I'm still so grateful :)
Here's my room.....
Definitely need to find a kingsize quilt that actually covers a king size bed. Or maybe just turn the quilt the other way..... yeah, just figured that out as I was lookin at this on here. Genius.

HA HA!! This is the top of Jerome's dresser. Poor guy.....

Those bottom hand crafted owls were found at a yard sale. I asked about them and the lady laughed and said her daughter made them for her as a Mother's Day gift what must have been about 30 years ago... I bought them for my buddy, but..... you know.

Got that awesome mirror for $3.99 at a local resale shop. It's funny. I could tell you where I got all this crap... but I do that too much and it's probably semi-annoying ;)

Fruit basket full of bebe's. Tell me somethin better than that.....
This is a kid's book bag. I am puzzled by it. Is Mickey stressin over taxes? Is Mickey studyin for an exam? I will never know. But I do know that I like Minnie's spirit of serving in this scene!

That bee back in Round Top woulda been so happy here with others of his kind.... I mean that in a special, non-judging kinda way.

Can you spot the little muscle guy?.... He came with a Napolean Dynamite action figure I used to have. He's the guy Napolean's hangin out the bus window in the beginning! Who else used to do that as a kid? So relative!

I have a small goal in mind to start crafting these little clothespin characters myself. I looove them!!
Behind the scenes info: I was holding a lamp with my other hand, tryin to get a better shot of these guys. My husband came out of our bathroom and stared at me..... He just doesn't know!

It's super girly, mildly childish, I know. But we're totally compromisin' in our room. Here she is.....
And of course, my closet. Shhhhh.......

Long day of stress got me winded? Archives again... See, Rae. You can never grow up. It's way too important to me that you don't ;)

  4. What a simple, stylish, and yet ridiculously colorful and interesting room to look at! I am so impressed! I love how there's this weird unspoken theme that you can't put your finger on... until it dawns on you that it's sort of this awesome childhood theme but through the eyes of a stylish adult who loves the beautiful things childhood leaves behind.

Incredible! I could just spend a socially awkward amount of time staring around at your bedroom. That sound's like a creepy thing to profess, but I assure you I mean it mostly as a compliment.

    1. Oh wow.... I just inadvertently handed over the prize of "Best Comment EVER" to your other comment... This just made me feel way more stylish/important/hip/interesting than I am in reality... Geez, I love the internet ;) But seriously, thanks! I may read this on days that are cloudy and grey for the rest of my life, ha ha!
Would you believe me if I told you in the last two days I have led 2 relatively unknown people and 1 complete stranger into my room to hang out and look at toys?
I just assume that they would want to see my toys. You know, cuz I'd wanna see theirs, right?.... I like people who enjoy these kind of things.
