A country good time

I woke up yesterday mornin and just felt right deep down inside that everything was as it should be.
It felt like my home again. It felt normal for the first time in a while and my mind went immediately to thoughts of my own children....Just normal things like "What'll we have for breakfast" and "I wonder how long I can lay here till they wake up".... the ol' usual.
Doesn't change the love I have for those kids, though nor would I take back a minute of it all. My door will always be open should it ever come to that.
We had some good times I never shared..... Spent Independence Day weekend out with Jerome's niece (who's practically my age so I really feel weird bein called "Aunt Laura") and her hubby Chris.

These are some of the best people we know. Truly deep down inside and out in the open for all to see, good people.

You guys shoulda seen this redneck way of fire startin! Literally, I was sittin and relaxin on the picnic table and there was no fire, then WHOOSH!! An instant bonfire! Swear I felt the wind off it... Chris, your crazy but you get the job done, man.
A man determined to make the perfect batch....even if it took three tries ;)

Ha ha! Jerome's all gooin' out  ;)
Thanks again, to you guys who wrote me beautiful words of encouragement or acknowledgement. I mean it from the heart, it made a difference.
