Quiet

When we first moved in over here at my parents house mid September we were sure it was for just a couple of weeks. Well, here we are over 2 months later and it feels like a lot of things have changed. I used to feel connected to my town where we lived and now I feel like I could move anywhere without a problem. The people that I had gotten to know over the past 8 years? Not really feeling close at all.  I find myself detached from everything "back home" right now. Weird how just a couple of months can do that..... I wonder how much that we feel is so important in our lives is really just routines and patterns, not really heart.... I'm a natural introvert so getting out of the routine of regular interaction with other's snowballs pretty fast into major seclusion.....And I kinda like it. It's quiet.

  1. Funny. I saw that ashtray and almost got it but didn't and now im mad u have it. But realistically sis, this is all temporary. Okay? You don't "feel" connected because you are not accessible and neither are we. I mean for real... If no one visited a couple exits away for sure no one will visit almost and hr down the rd. As far as secluding... I'd say yes your getting close but not quite. Im glad you at least answer your phone. Im sure your lonely being stuck there with just a bunch of kids and no grown up communication accept from family and we'll just leave that one there. But!!!!???!!!! I love you. I AM here for you. Don't give up. connect/reconnect with Jesus. And if that last comment got on your nerves then it means you are WAY PAST DUE to connect to Him. Love ya

  2. "And behold, the Lord passed by, and a great and strong wind tore into the mountains and broke the rocks in pieces before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind; and after the wind and earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake; and after the earthquake a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire; and after the fire a still small voice" (1 Kings 19:12).
