Livin in an old south Texas town has quite a few perks. One happens to be friendly neighbors. The kind you see in old movies like Steel Magnolias. Sure, I bet we got a Weeza on the block (dying to get to meet her) but so far only sweet, sweet old timers. When our yard was floodin and my husband came home on lunch to dig a trench in the storm, the 70 year old man next door came out and insisted on helping. All the while his wife yellin "Get outta that rain and get in the house!" My husband said he muttered "It's worse than havin a mother-in-law sometimes". Ha! Last night they gave us a cake that they had ordered and turns out would not be needin. So we had a little party. We found a number 2 candle from someone's party that must not have transpired (happens a lot in this family) and deemed it "Happy Birthday 2nd week House" party.

That's for number 2, guys. I don't peace out, okay. Just had to clarify that. |
So, thank you John, whoever you are.
Wherever you are be blessed.
I am really jealous that you get to hang out with batman all the time. Some girls have all the luck.

ReplyDeleteYes, they are. I squint and look at the stuff in your house all the time. I bet when people come over they claim they always see something they missed. :)
