Well, you guys are welcome to have some of ours... I spent a good 2 hours shoveling that out of my drive-way and off our walkway and porch. I'll mail you some.
The experience was enough for me! I'm a total wuss and had to take a 2 hour nap when I got home (in 2 pairs of socks) Snow's probably better in theory than in practice ;)
Haha, that's fun! It looks like the snow got a little icy, sorry about the ice ball to the face! Utah has "The Greatest Snow On Earth", always nice and fluffy.
I love this! What a fun idea. We get snow in TN, but rarely anything to write home about. Just enough to make slush and ice and make people freak out and drive like crazy people.
I remember one year when we were down in NC visiting my grandmother and a DUSTING of snow fell (we had come from Maine a few days earlier where the plowed up schoolyard had snow banks well over my head) and all of the local businesses shutdown for the day. Everyone hunkered down in their houses like aliens were attacking.
That sounds like Texas! If it even "dusts" snow, our schools' close for "snow days" so the kids can get out in it. We have never had more than 1/2 and inch, much less what it would take to make the tiniest snowball. Sarah keeps telling me her plans for the snowman she's goin to make on Christmas day..... I just nod and smile ;)
I love that they do this! How fun is that? I remember that one Christmas a number of years ago where we got some decent snow. It was so cool. lol But yeah, I couldn't handle much more than a day. Glad you guys had fun and those pictures are everything!

Feel free to have some of our snow up here in Michigan Laura you and the family could be some snow forts and some really great snow ball fights.
ReplyDeleteMy kids would just die if they saw that much snow! Maybe one day, John ;)
DeleteI never count anything out for good!
