This is the kid's room. And I know you're all thinking it. Yes, it doesn't really look like this in real life. Here's to scurryfunge!

My daughter commissioned a Dark Crystal painting from me.

We keep lots of puppets on hand.

Unicorn artwork commissioned from Emli Mercer. You might have heard of her.

Artwork by the girls. Zoomer was mine when I was a child and  Humpty was a gift from a special friend :)
                                                              Moving day is coming up!

Little friends are the best kind

School starts in next week and I'm really gonna miss these lazy mornings........

The movie Campaign was a bust :(  I L-O-V-E Zach Galifinakis, just watching him sit motionless is enough to bring me to giggles but all the gross mocking of Jesus (Will Ferrel is a vocal anti Christian), well that just sickens me in my spirit. I'm ashamed that I didn't leave, there was a time in my life when I would've. It's time I get back to that place............

Well in spite of that, I still find Zach to be a very intriguing man. His eyes have an intensity to them that make you believe yes, he can control your mind! And there's something to be said about a man who is bold enough to rock a dickie. And one on the outside of the shirt at that! Dinner with Schmucks is a great movie despite what many have said. Go rent it.

I think I like him so much because he looks like my dad. You be the judge.......

Dad  rockin glasses inside before rappers made it cool... O.G.

Jerome, if you're reading this just know, you're my #1 Honey for life. <3

Good day ahead......

Evening folks. The mister's birthday is tomorrow and I have arranged a breakfast date and matinee feature of Campaign. Tomorrow's gonna be a good day. I leave you with this nugget of sheer wisdom.......

Documentations of a boxlike dwelling

So we've lived in the same ridiculously small apartment for the last five years and I am so ready to move into our first home! We should close on our house in the next couple of weeks (fingers crossed) and I really should start packing. Of course I am thrilled to be moving but it's also weird that we'll never be here, in this space ever again in our life. Two of our 3 kids were born while we were here (major reason we've been financially unable to upgrade the lifestyle) and so much life molding has happened up in this joint. It's a good thing, though. The only constant in life is change and boy do we need one!  To humor my nostalgic side I'm gonna make sure to photograph every inch of this place so my babes can see what they'll never remember about their tiny years home. Kinda wish I had some photos to look at like that.......
The wall behind our recliner.  Lots of things I enjoy :)
Succulents never quit on me.

vintage hand puppets gifted from granny. shadow box worthy, huh?

I've started a collection of dolls who look like my niece Emli. I have a little eskimo that needs some repair, she'll join them soon.

This little guy is half of a salt/pepper shaker set. He's quite lonely :(

This is a cigar holder. It says "Whale of a Guy" on it's forehead.

Random friends. That antique cookie jar owl was $3 !

More to come soon, guys. As soon as I can straighten up, you know I gotta showcase this box bloggy style.
As an old friend once said about me, "I cain't have no superfluous dishes up in here, mayne!" true story.

Why my blog sucks, David Bowie and skills......

So why does my blog look so plain you ask?

Well, I can't figure this crap out...... bear with me.

I have a vision, I just have no computer savvy skills. Just nunchuck skills. And that, my friend, has gotten me nowhere in life. So what are your most useless skills?

Here's mine.
1. Pipe cleaner cratfer extraordinaire. My teen nephew has picked up the "trade" recently. I honestly think he has surpassed my "skill" level.
2. Making puppets from anything on hand and in a pinch. Handy in a classroom of 3-4 year olds.
3. Picking things up with my feet (yes, that's a played out skill, eveyone's claiming it)
4. I know all the words to The Last Unicorn, Labrynth, and Dark Crystal. This is a childhood skill that just
    gets better with age.

A small child ate the cover of Labrynth. Sacrilege!

In my proofreading I have decided these are actually not useless at all! To each his own.  And I finally got the Goblin King to stick on the background of this blog. So we have progress people. It's starting to happen.......
